Spanish Immersion
In an increasingly
multi-lingual and multi-cultural environment, the Montessori Children’s
House offers a Spanish Immersion program for ages 3 to 7 years. This program
is designed to immerse the child in the Spanish language in a
carefully prepared environment of a Montessori classroom, by teachers who are
native Spanish speakers. This program is for children who have no prior
knowledge of Spanish, and incorporates the children who speak the language
already. The class meets every week, Monday through Friday from
12:20 pm to 3:20 pm. Please contact us at 515-225-1073 for more
information or to set up a tour.
Other Enrichment
Montessori Children's House
is offering an extension to your child's experience in the Montessori
environment through our Enrichment Program. This program is designed
to provide a series of cultural activities each week throughout the school
year. We have contracted with professionals in each specialty area who
will plan and provide these activities. Some of the opportunities may
be something you have considered trying for your child, and now you have the
opportunity to introduce them in a familiar setting. We hope you can
take advantage of this program!
All classes take place at Montessori
Children's House. Class times are Monday through Friday starting in
September through May. Enrichment starts between 3:00 and 3:15 p.m.
each day and ends between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. Some of the classes will
be divided into two groups - one starting at 3:00 and the next at 3:45.
The classes that are taught as one group will begin at 3:15.
There is a maximum of 12 students per class who are 3-7 years of age. Please
contact the office for a registration form.
