Volunteer

Montessori Children’s House welcomes our students’ families! Throughout the year help is needed at school-organized social gatherings and in the classroom. Your assistance is always welcome.

There are many ways you can get involved at Montessori Children’s House! Below is a list of the activities and volunteer opportunities for parents and grandparents at MCH. If you are interested in any of the activities please contact us.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • With guidance from the classroom teachers, the Homeroom parent will assist as needed with class activities.

  • Coordinate volunteers for parent-led activities (Trunk or Treat and Winter Wonderland). Also helps with teacher appreciation events.

  • Help planting gardens and flower boxes. Help maintain playground equipment.

  • Coordinate and edit a collection of classroom pictures to publish an annual yearbook.

  • Organize philanthropic activities throughout the school year in coordination with the school administration.

  • Working with the classroom teachers, volunteers help transport children to field trip sites and assist the teachers during the field trip.

  • A fun family event held at MCH each fall. Volunteers assist with set-up and clean-up.

  • A safe and fun trick-or-treat event featuring decorated trunks. Volunteers assist with organizing the event, refreshments, set-up, and clean-up.

  • A winter celebration with treats and activities for the children. Volunteers assist with organizing the event, decorations, refreshments, set-up, and clean-up.

  • This spring event showcases the diversity of our school and our world. Volunteers assist with food, set-up, and clean-up.

  • The end of year is filled with many celebrations. Volunteers help coordinate the activities with guidance from the school administration.
